DescriptionThe Sanitation Associate is responsible for all activities involved in maintaining the cleanliness and food safe environment of the processing facility, surrounding area and equipment. The primary purpose of this job is to perform daily sanitation of all processing lines. The Sanitation Associate may be required to record information to reflect sanitation activities and issues. They will advise and update manufacturing leaders of progress and or other non-routine issues. Receives direction concerning sanitation activities all in conjunction with the company's Vision, Mission and Values. Responsibilities:Implements all GMP and HACCP procedures that relate to cleanliness, food safety and pest control with the facility. Maintain sanitation equipment in a clean and organized manner.Maintains a supply of cleaning chemicals necessary for the operation of the cleaning program and in compliance with OSHA and FDA regulations.Follow line-specific cleaning and sanitation instructions.Activate cleaning equipment or machines.Disassembling and cleaning food-processing equipment.Reassemble production equipment for cleaning.Ensures safety is a priority in day to day functionsCarry out documented sanitation programs (master sanitation schedule).Keep accurate and timely documentation of cleaning performed.Proficient at routine preventative maintenance as well as changeovers.Must be able to communicate with supervisors, co-workers and other departments.Promotes a safe work environment through knowledge of the sanitation program and commitment to a safe workplace for all. Attends all company training sessions and team meetings Additional responsibilities as assigned by supervisor.
Requirements
Qualifications:Have received a High School Diploma or EquivalentMust be flexible with schedule, including start times and weekend work.Must be able to work in a team environment and work independentlyPhysical Requirements:Manual and finger dexterity.Work in a noisy environment for length of shift (all PPE provided)Must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds with assistance.Reach above shoulder height.Sitting, bending, twisting, standing, climbing stairs/ladders, pushing/pulling, and walking for length of shift.Work Environment:Work in a noisy environmentWork indoors as well as outdoorsWork in wet and/or humid conditionsWork in cold or hot environmentsWork around machinery
Salary Description
$17.37 / hour
