In addition to fulfilling current audit needs such as Fiscal auditing of DMV funds/revenues over $500 million annually, Emissions, IRP and social security audits, the agency has the need to create a centralized unit that will also oversee certain compliance functions to ensure the agency is compliant with state and federal laws and regulations, and to look for ways to implement fraud prevention and/or detect and investigate potential instances of fraud. Position Responsibilities: * Act as a liaison between different business units throughout the DMV, and with other state and federal agencies that may be auditing functions of the DMV. * Oversee and/or assist with the creation or tracking of policies or procedures that may impact DMV compliance. * Asked to advise the Commissioner of fraud prevention recommendations, review and investigate alleged fraud cases (especially related to online transactions) and coordinate responses with other business units as required. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS - SPECIAL EXPERIENCE One (1) year of the General Experience must have been supervising professional level staff. NOTE: For state employees this experience is interpreted at the level of a Budget Specialist or Fiscal/Administrative Supervisor. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS - SUBSTITUTIONS ALLOWED * College training may be substituted for the General Experience on the basis of fifteen (15) semester hours equalling one-half (1/2) year of experience to a maximum of four (4) years for a Bachelor's degree. * A Master's degree in public administration, business administration, or accounting may be substituted for one (1) additional year of the General Experience.
