Bus Driver

Job Summary

Drives Bus to transport students over specified routes according to time schedule. Complies with traffic regulations.

Duties:
Drives a school bus safely and professionally.
Performs and properly completes daily trip inspections.
Complies with all traffic laws.
Complies with discipline policies set forth in the School Code of Conduct and Board Policies for Transportation.

Amount of work will depend on District need.

Requirements / Qualifications

Must possess and maintain a California drivers' license Class A,B or C. Note: Applicants must have held a valid drivers' license for the past two consecutive years to the date with no chargeable accidents within that time; any moving traffic citation during the past three years will be evaluated and may be considered disqualifying.

Must have a California Drivers' License, Class B-P and a California School Bus Certificate.

Must Pass State Skills Test and State Written Test.

Comments and Other Information

All offers of employment are subject to and contingent upon the completion of a criminal background check by the California Department of Justice and positive references. Convictions of certain crimes, including but not limited to sex and narcotics offenses and serious and violent felonies, as specified in the California Education and Penal Codes, will bar employment with the District and this contract shall become null and void. Candidates selected for employment will be required to provide verification of work authorization per the I-9 document.
