Eliot is seeking a Clinician to perform outreachengagement activities, crisis intervention, clinical assessment and referral, as well as providing concrete services such as warm clothing, blankets, and food to reduce risk of harm on the streets.

Eliot 's PATH program provides services to individuals with serious mental health illnesses, as well as those with co-occurring substance use disorders, who are homeless or at risk of becoming homeless. OurOutreach Clinicians and Shelter Specialists provide support services directly to homeless individuals residing in emergency shelters or on the streets throughout Massachusetts.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform outreach and engagement activities to identify homeless people living in public places, drop in centers, meal sites and shelters.
  • Provide clinical services such as crisis intervention and counseling, as well as concrete services such as providing warm clothing, blankets, and food to reduce risk of harm on the streets.
  • Encourage use of shelter, meal sites, and other services and public entitlements and facilitate linkage to these when accepted by homeless individuals.
  • Maintain a thorough, current knowledge of local public and private resources including housing, residential programs, and other community organizations. Maintain positive working relationships with representatives of these organizations.
  • Coordinate efforts with the Department of Mental Health and the Department of Public Health to ensure the effective use of resources.


Salary:$55,000.00 annually. Annual salary increase.

Bilingual rate is 6% increase in salary, in needed language area.

Schedule: Monday - Friday 9am - 5pm, with some opportunity forflexibility with schedule

Location: Quincy, MA

Community based work co-located at Father Bill's adult shelter with engagements in the surrounding communities such as Weymouth, Randolph, and Braintree. Car is required. Mileage reimbursement.
