The TRiO – Student Support Services Director oversees all aspects of the Grant Program as described in the grant application and the Statement of Assurances. The Director is responsible for grant preparation and reporting, program design, implementation, evaluation, and tracking based on the state/federal guidelines and the Statement of Assurances. The Director manages the overall functions of the Grant Program serving selected students who are enrolled in the grant funded program.

The director is responsible for the administration and oversight of program and personnel that ensure the efficient, equitable, and student-centered delivery of program services. This position supervises full-time and part-time professional and classified staff. The Director of Student Support Services reports to the Dean of Academics or Academic Dean. Director acts as a liaison between the students, employees, stakeholders, Faculty, and staff. Example of Job Duties:

Under the direction of the Dean of Academic Affairs. Advise Dean of Academics or Academic Dean on matters related to program performance, the TRiO-Student Support Services Program Director is responsible for achieving the Grant Program’s goals and objectivesthrougheffective performance in these essential duties: Grant and program preparation, administration and evaluation Overseeing budget preparation, maintenance and audits Liaison between the Grant Program and Federal, State and City officials Recruit program participants Administration and hire Grant Program personnel Oversee all operations of the TRIO/SSS program and personnel and assigns them to duties Submission of reports to funding agencies, maintenance of records and tracking data as required. In addition to the accountabilities listed above, the incumbent is required to carry out the essential duties of: Attendance and participation at convocation and commencement ceremonies; Service on assigned committees and task forces; Attendance and participation at committee, staff, informational and professional meetings. These may involve attendance at evening or weekend events. This posting includes qualifications, experience and skills but is not limited to the full specifications stated in the job description. Incumbents must possess proven ability to effectively work with culturally, linguistically, and ethnically diverse faculty, staff, and students. Minimum Qualifications:

Master’s degree in education, psychology, counseling, social work, or appropriately related field and one (1) or more years of related experience together with two (2) years supervisory experience.
