We’re a passionate, close-knit group of inter-disciplinary thinkers and doers that craft truly one-of-a-kind software used all over the world, and we do it from our cozy-casual office here in Pittsburgh.Duties and ResponsibilitiesIn conjunction with Business Area and Engineering leadership, develop a strategic technical vision (problem space) and define detailed technical architectures (solution space) for the portfolioLead and coordinate strategic engineering activities across the portfolioShape program execution to be in alignment with strategic technical visionWork with strategic engineering team to identify and drive innovative technical solutionsWork across the entire GDMS to identify capabilities and components that can create candidate technical solutions that exceed customer expectationsEngage customer to identify critical needs and requirements and shape technical solutions that favor GDMSEngage program leadership (Program Manager, Deputy Program Manager Engineering - DPME, etc.) to shape and coordinate solution development across portfolio capabilitiesParticipate in Engineering Status Reviews as requested to ensure strategy is in alignment with solutions and identify potential challengesAs requested by program leadership, attend Program Management Reviews with the customer to ensure consistency of messaging and demonstrate high-level commitment to program successIdentify, coordinate, facilitate, and lead IRAD activities that further GDMS capabilities in support of future opportunitiesSupport messaging, demonstration development, etc. related to trade shows and external eventsProvide general Engineering leadership across the portfolio as requested by Engineering Manager and LeadershipProduce technical solutions for new proposal activities (i.e. Blue Team and Green Team preparation)Write RFP, RFI, White Paper content as requested, otherwise provide critical reviews of proposal solution activity through the GDMS capture process, to include Blue, Green, Pink, and Red team reviewsCoordinate technical design efforts across program areas to ensure consistent strategy for meeting customer needsCommunicate strategic technical vision with Business Area and Line of Business leadership to ensure consistency and alignment in GDMS technology directions and to secure necessary New Business Funds to support strategic activities
