In this entry level role, you will help prepare and serve meals to our participants in the adult day program. Additionally, you will be responsible for washing dishes and maintaining the cleanliness of the dining area and kitchen. Meal times and good food will always be a very important part of everyone's lives
This is a Part-Time, benefit eligible position working Monday through Friday. NO evenings, weekends, or holidays required
Hours: 11:30 am to 2:30 pm Monday through Friday
Pay: $17 per hour
Culinary Assistant/Server Responsibilities:
+ Assist with food preparation and serving meals to program participants.
+ Work within the department to provide quality and nutritious meals and service to program participants.
+ Help maintain a sanitary department by washing dishes and cleaning the kitchen and dining areas.
+ Assists program participants with a broad range of dietary needs.
+ Check and restock storage areas.
+ Maintain appropriate food storage by dating and labeling.
+ Perform additional tasks as needed.
Culinary Assistant/Server Requirements:
+ Prior restaurant or healthcare experience preferred, but not required.
+ Safe Serve Certified or willing to obtain within a year or hire.
+ Excellent oral and written communication skills to interact with participants and staff.
+ Excellent customer service skills.
+ Ability to multi-task and work efficiently.
+ Basic math skills.
+ A compassionate attitude and the ability to work with elderly and/or disabled persons.
