This position is ideal for a Senior Quality Engineer or a Quality Engineer with 3+ years of relevant experience. This could also be a good growth opportunity for a talented engineering graduate with at least one year of relevant experience.This position reports to the Director of Operations Engineering.According to the FLSA (Fair Labor Standards Act), this position is classified as:Exempt, based on the Professional ExemptionWhat You'll Be Doing Establish a plant quality system, and work with design engineering, production engineering, RMA coordinator, and supply chain quality to drive continuous improvement of quality and yields.Lead effort to track and reduce occurrences of non-conforming finished-good escapes.Lead the production implementation of corrective actions (CARs/8D) for customer requests or internal quality initiatives.Perform weekly analysis of quality data to identify and prioritize corrective actions to impact yields and profitability.Participate in new product factory introductions to gage process capabilities of fixtures, equipment, and processes.Support Banner's quality management system and related audits.Provide hands-on support to production teams to resolve quality issues.Collect and publish factory performance metrics and key process indicators (KPI).Update documentation related to quality improvements, containment, or other necessary actions.Lead containment and disposition of nonconformances found on the production lines.What You Bring to the Table To perform this job successfully, you must perform each essential duty satisfactorily, and regular attendance is required.
