In this role, you will report to the Material Planning Group leader. The primary responsibility of this position is to manage the external supply of purchased products in support of production needs. Carries out effective material control techniques that ensure material availability while achieving defined inventory plans. This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship or relocation assistance. The candidate must be legally authorized to work in the US and must be local.Your ImpactSupports and attains defined inventory levels for purchased components to support an optimized inventory plan while developing material release quantities with suppliers consistent with company order policies.Analyze Materials Resource Planning system requirements, note and correct discrepancies when appropriate and work with internal and external groups to reduce inventory levels.Communicates requirements forecasts to suppliers to meet delivery schedules that are consistent with production schedule needs while also working with suppliers to identify and resolve any potential future supply challenges.Resolves component supply issues related to supplier quality problems and inventory discrepancies.
