REPORTS TO: Vice President of Workforce Development FLSA STATUS: Exempt, Full Time DATE: 05/09/2024 JOB SUMMARY: This position serves as the departmental leader to lead the Goodwill Career Pathways Institute and our employment community training programs, including services to youth and re-entry clients. The Director collaborates with the Director of Employment Services, the Community Outreach Liaison, and the Vice President for Workforce Development to create and fulfill the unit’s strategic plan and support initiatives. The Director of Community Training and Employment Programs leads our community outreach efforts, provides program oversight to ensure the success of Goodwill training programs, and supervises and develops staff. This director will deliver training as needed, create strategies to deliver training to internal and external customers, oversee unit operations and compliance, and will cultivate partner relationships by which to build training and employment networks within the community to support Goodwill values and enhance the Goodwill brand. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: · Serve as lead administrator for the Youth Employment Preparation Program (YEPP), Re-Entry Employment Preparation Program (REPP), and the Goodwill Career Pathways Institute (GCPI). · Research emerging industry trends and new technologies to update current training curriculum and programming and modify as needed. · Implement learning solutions which include a blended approach to learning such as classroom training, e-learning, online instruction, coaching, and assessment of learning. · Work collaboratively with Subject Matter Experts (SME’s) within the organization and/or community to develop and/or validate training content, methods and materials and ensure effective upskilling of our clients. · Oversee the workforce development staff and develop them professionally. · Provide oversight for accredited certificate programs through the Oklahoma Board of Private Vocational Schools (OBPVS) and ensure Goodwill’s compliance with accreditation standards. · Create new job certification programs and/or employment programs in collaboration with the VP of Workforce Development. · Develop and deliver appropriate professional development curriculum to local employers, relevant to their employees’ needs and interests. · Knowledge of employment services tools and resources. · Build effective linkages and positive working relationships/partnerships with internal and community partners, service providers, businesses and collaborating agencies. · Collect and record data on unit’s performance and success including number served, placed, learning evaluation, and client satisfaction. Pull reports and analyze data for performance review and process improvement. · Create mobile training unit schedule and supervise the delivery of employment certificate training across the Goodwill Central Oklahoma service area. · Provide support and service delivery to designated sites including our Hubs areas located across a 37-county service area. · Support the unit’s commitment to efficiency, effectiveness, and constituent satisfaction through stellar work delivery and continuous review of feedback and client survey data. · Coordinate all community training initiatives in association with the Vice President of Workforce Development. · Able to think quickly and to make values-based decisions on behalf of staff, clients, and the organization. · Able to conform to continuous change in the work environment and pivot as needed to accomplish goals and to deliver appropriate services to constituents. · Develop and maintain current MOUs and partner agreements to ensure compliance and fulfill of Goodwill obligations. · Manage the associated program budgets and seek cost-effective options for service delivery. · Recruit partnerships for the expansion of program visibility within the community. · Develop policies and procedures (SOPs) geared at positive employment outcomes. · Facilitate the creation of grant proposals for community training and employment programs. · Develop and maintain marketing collateral pieces and initiatives. · Participate in strategic planning for organizational and unit growth. · Review and become familiar with Goodwill of Central Oklahoma safety policies, programs and procedures and adhere to all safety rules, regulations, and safety codes. Attend safety training and meetings and report any unsafe work conditions, accidents, or injuries immediately. ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES: · Perform other duties and projects as required by management. QUALIFICATIONS: · Bachelor’s minimum, Master’s degree preferred, in a related area. · Minimum of 3 years of related workforce experience in education, training, social services, or other related area. · Minimum 3-5 years of supervisory experience preferred. · Must pass OSBI/DOC background check. · Must be 21 years old. · Valid Oklahoma Driver’s License and Car Insurance Verification, required. · Must pass MVR check and maintain a good driving record. · Ability to speak, read and write the English language. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES: · Excellent verbal and written communication skills. · Strong organizational skills and the ability to work on several projects at once. High level of attention to detail. · Strong sense of internal and external customer service. · Strong time management skills and adhere to timelines and schedules. · Good interpersonal skills: able to work well with a wide range of people. · Ability to work independently and as a member of a team, exercise initiative, good judgment, and ability to make decisions on items of a confidential nature. · Demonstrate resourcefulness, ability to take initiative in development and completion of projects within budget. · Ability to complete and maintain: · CPR and First Aid certifications · Other program specific training may be required · Proficiency in Microsoft Office products such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
