Cafe Attendant

We are currently looking for a Full Time Cafe Attendant to join our Cultural Center Cafe team located at the Chickasaw Cultural Center.

Summary:
Performs a wide range of food related services to ensure an efficient and professional caf operation. Supports program mission to serve appetizing and nutrient dense foods using proper food handling techniques.

* Maintains knowledge of and follows all laws, rules, regulations, policies and SOPs for assigned area, e.g. MICS, TICS, hospital standards, health codes, food sanitation, accounting principles, etc.
* Assists in preparation of orders for food and food service products for cost effectiveness and efficiency of operation
* Maintains proper sanitation and safety practices
* Ensures cleanliness, maintenance, safety and sanitation of kitchen and or other assigned areas and reports all necessary problems immediately
* Works with Catering Team to execute catering needs
* Ability to prepare food for service including but not limited to chopping vegetables, preparing sauces, cutting fruit, preparing meats and stocking inventory appropriately
* Operates point-of-sale terminal to tally customer purchases and ensure accurate payment is received

- Provides accurate change for cash purchases
- Processes discounts, refunds, exchanges, coupons accurately
- Balances register/terminal and completes reports for receipts, cash balance
- May perform minor trouble shooting of POS
- Maintains accurate cash count and assume responsibility for any shortages at end of shift
- May be responsible to confirm POS pricing updates
* Stocks inventory; several times during shift by placing products on display shelf for customer availability
* Performs all other duties as assigned
