**Job Description**:
The Boyd Group is looking to expand our Learning and Development team and bring on two Learning and Development Trainers (L&D Trainer). If you are looking for an exciting place to work, please take a look at the “Keys” to success for this role. The L&D Trainer reports into the Learning and Development Senior Manager and will support or facilitate programs such as: Leadership Development, New Hire Onboarding, Emerging Leader and Career Development. These programs may be in-person, virtual or a combination of both. The L&D Trainer may also provide input and support additional company initiatives as identified by the Sr. Mgr, L&D. This is a hybrid role based in our Elmhurst, IL headquarters or nearby locations no less than 3 days a week. Depending on when the programs are taking place, this role may require overnight stays during the delivery of training programs.

**Key Job Responsibilities**:

- Deliver in-house and vendor sponsored content virtually or in-person across the USA and Canada
- Provide input to the training strategy and the development of specific training development plans;
- Create and manage a training environment conducive to learning and building learners self-esteem and confidence.
- Influence, support and positively engage with our participants to ensure maximum impact from their training
- Build e-learnings using e-Learning software such as Articulate 360 and Rise,
- Use instructional design principles and adult learning theory to develop training programs..
- Inspire participants by delivering energetic, high quality in-person and virtual training in an inclusive and motivational way
- Prepare and organize facilitator material and room set-up associated with preparing for a training program.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of training, listening to participants feedback and proactively provide recommendations to the Sr. Mgr, L&D.
- Travel to training locations to deliver in-person programs primarily in the Midwest. Some locations may be in the West or East.
- Contribute to other HR and organization-wide projects as appropriate

**Education and/or Experience Required**:

- 4 years related experience developing and leading training efforts, with direct experience creating learning programs and facilitating leadership workshops

**Required Skills/Abilities**:

- Experience developing and delivering comprehensive learning and/or career development programs.
- Experience with Instructional Design (ADDIE), eLearning (Articulate), and the development of learning programs.
- Efficiently execute multiple initiatives and tasks in a fast paced environment
- Excellent communication, organizational, presentation and facilitation skills.
- Self-starter, ability to quickly organize materials, prioritize and coordinate tasks
- Ability to work effectively in a remote/hybrid team environment
- Expertise with Google Suite or Microsoft office preferred (Mail, Calendar, Sheets, Documents, Presentation, etc.)

**Other Requirements**:

- Ability to travel within Chicago suburbs and downtown locations several days a week that may not be accessible by public transportation. This role may also require overnight air travel to training locations during the week.
- This position requires the ability to lift and carry objects weighing up to 20 pounds. Employees in this role must also be capable of standing, walking, bending, and reaching during the course of their duties.
