**Position**: Assistant Facility Security Officer

**Type**: W-2, Hourly Contract

**Pay**:$38 - $41.00 per hour with limited benefits

**Due to the nature of work performed in the facility, U.S. citizenship is required.**

**Required Skills/Qualifications**:

- High School Diploma and a minimum of 2 years of related experience. Requirements include:

- Exercise discretion and independent judgment in the performance of duties set forth under the job responsibilities.
- Communicate effectively both orally and in writing
- Exhibit sound interpersonal skills involving interfacing coordinating and negotiating with company personnel customers and suppliers
- Utilize computer skills to prepare appropriate reports and documents
- Make decisions using sound judgment while complying with policies procedures appropriate principles and applicable state and federal

laws and regulations

**Preferred Skills/Qualifications**:

- Bachelor's degree
- 4+ years of relevant experience

**Responsibilities**:

- Assist the FSO in the everyday common tasks, to include everything that is involved with handling foreign travels, such as validate passports and make sure passport information is in SIMS.
- If employee has a clearance, make sure passport information is in DISS.
- Enter foreign travel information in DISS.
- Remind employee to advise customer of foreign travel.
- Assist the FSO with the outgoing VARS as well as incoming. 90% of the employees work at customer sites whose VARs need to be precisely maintained for the work flow avoiding breaks or gaps in work.
- Develops, and administers security programs and procedures for classified/proprietary materials, documents, and equipment.
- Prepares manuals outlining regulations, and establishes procedures for handling, storing, and keeping records, and for granting personnel and visitors access to restricted records and materials.
- Investigates security violations and prepares reports specifying preventive action to be taken.
