**EVENT MANAGER JOB DESCRIPTION**

The Event Manager is well organized and oversees all the moving parts of this dynamic department. The Event Manager is responsible for ensuring all birthday parties, summer camps, group outings, field trips and special events run smoothly. The Event Manager must be a leader who is passionate about guest service and sales. The Event Manager will ensure customer satisfaction through the entire process by taking reservations, managing event staff, checking customers in and out, collecting payment and upselling our products and services. The Event Manager must be flexible, organized, friendly, hardworking and good at multi-tasking. The Event Manager must enjoy interacting with children and adults and have a positive attitude.

**EVENT MANAGER RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Oversee all event bookings and ensure superior service to our guests
- Provide guests with memorable parties at ClimbZone
- Assist in the hiring, training, and scheduling of party hosts
- Serve as the primary contact for all event bookings, following through with the entire process
- Oversee paperwork and communication related to the event process including food orders, liability waivers, payments, facility rules and instructions
- Respond to inquiries in a proactive and timely manner
- Develop, host, and promote special events to drive new business
- Develop and maintain relationships with key customers (schools, corporations, non-profits, community groups)
- Drive sales of group outings, parties, camps and corporate events
- Order party and camp supplies
- Open and close the facility as manager on duty
- Perform the functions of team members when necessary
- Check in on all parties to ensure everything is running smoothly; support party hosts
- Cash handling required, including deposits and opening and closing registers

**EVENT MANAGER REQUIREMENTS**
- 2 years of management or hospitality experience in a related field, preferably managing young staff
- Organizational, follow-up and multitasking skills are a must
- Ability to develop and market new ideas
- Outgoing, energetic and friendly personality
- Experience handling cash
- Experience hosting and organization events
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong leadership skills
- Basic computer skills; social media skills a bonus
- Self-motivated and hard-working; must be able to manage stressful and challenging situations
- Excellent time management skills
- Evening and weekend availability a must

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $20.00 - $26.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 - 35 per week
