Direct Support Professional

Hiring for full-time dependable and energetic Support Staff for ALL shifts (days, evenings, overnight) to provide services to individuals with intellectual/developmental disabilities in Mississippi County. Must have reliable transportation and be willing to drive to other locations for periodic outings (i.e., Cape, St. Louis, etc.). Mileage reimbursement provided.
- Full-time staff are eligible for health insurance, paid time off, and paid holidays (once waiting period is satisfied). All staff are eligible for cell phone stipend and mileage reimbursement for work-related travel, and meal expenses are covered when on the job.
- Must pass background and drug screen, have a current, valid driver's license, and current auto insurance.
- All training will be provided

**Responsibilities**:

- Provide direct care and support to individuals with developmental disabilities in their home and/or a community setting
- Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as meal preparation, shopping, basick cleaning, grooming, laundry, etc.
- Implement individualized care plans and support goals for each individual
- Promote independence and community integration
- Document and report any changes in behavior or health status to appropriate personnel

**Skills**:

- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities is preferred
- Knowledge of systems and resources available for individuals with disabilities
- Ability to provide patient and compassionate care to individuals of all ages
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with individuals, families, and team members
- Ability to adapt to changing needs and situations in a fast-paced environment
- Basic knowledge of healthcare practices and procedures related to patient care

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $15.00 - $16.00 per hour

Expected hours: 32 - 40 per week
