Plant Manager- Contract Manufacturing

The Plant Manager coordinates production operations to ensure the efficient and profitable operation of the manufacturing plant, and accommodate requests by management associated with plant operation.
**Primary Activities**:
Create and execute a master production schedule which includes a job schedule, machine schedule and shipment schedule to ensure efficient and profitable operations.
Perform capacity planning to ensure production efficiency and resource availability are proportionate with production schedule needs.
Communicate with Plant Floor Supervisor and other team members to coordinate and expedite all manufacturing operations to ensure completion of jobs to meet customer delivery requirements.
Maintain customer inventories at levels prescribed by management.
Maintain and strengthen the company emphasis on producing quality products, on schedule.
Maintain and reduce scrap levels during production processes.
Monitor, correct and update information and data on shop papers relative to work center routing and any special requirements.
Review production processes, cycle times, and machine performance for completed jobs to ensure efficiency targets are met or improved upon.
Make recommendations for safety improvement/ accident prevention, and implementation of approved initiatives.
Manage the machine/equipment maintenance program.
Assist with recommendations for policy and procedure.
Perform other duties and projects on an as needed basis.
Maintain ISO Standard, quality policy and objectives.
**Qualifications**:
- Business, manufacturing, or engineering related degree or equivalent years of related work experience.
- Minimum of 5 years related production management experience from a similar type manufacturing company
- High-level proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Must be extremely detail oriented while also having the ability to multitask.
- Must have excellent verbal, interpersonal, and written communication skills.
- Experience with JobBoss preferred.
