Overview:
animal restraint for blood draws and treatments
flea/heartworm client education
prevention medication client education
creating treatments plans as recommended by veterinarian
discussing recommended treatment options with clients
Reception Duties:
- Greet clients and their pets with a friendly and professional demeanor
- Schedule appointments and manage the clinic's appointment calendar
- Answer phone calls, respond to inquiries, and provide accurate information to clients
- Assist with check-in and check-out procedures, including collecting payments and processing invoices
- Maintain patient records and ensure accuracy of information
- Coordinate communication between clients, veterinarians, and other staff members
- Provide basic information on pet care, medication instructions, and post-operative care
- Assist with filing, data entry, and other administrative tasks as needed
**Experience**:
To be successful in this role, you should have the following skills and qualifications:
- Previous experience working in a veterinary clinic or animal-related field is preferred
- Knowledge of veterinary terminology, animal physiology, and animal care practices
- Proficiency in handling animals safely and confidently
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently
