- Provide exceptional customer service by guiding patients through the surgical scheduling process with empathy and professionalism, addressing their needs and concerns promptly and effectively.
- Act as a point of contact for patients, offering personalized assistance and clear communication throughout their surgical journey, from initial scheduling to post-operative follow-up.
- Ensure patients feel supported and informed by offering detailed explanations of the surgical process, answering questions, and providing reassurance as needed.
- Demonstrate sensitivity to patients' individual circumstances and preferences, accommodating special requests and scheduling considerations whenever possible.
- Continuously seek feedback from patients and colleagues to identify opportunities for improvement in the surgical scheduling process and overall customer experience.
- **Referral and Transition Coordination**:

- Maintain ongoing tracking and appropriate documentation on referrals to promote team awareness and ensure patient safety, using an IT database.
- Ensure complete and accurate registration, including patient demographic and current insurance information.
- Assemble information concerning patients' clinical backgrounds and referral needs, and provide appropriate clinical information to specialists per referral guidelines.
- Establish and maintain relationships with identified service providers and ensure referrals are addressed in a timely manner.
- **Physician Liaison Responsibilities**:

- Survey local primary and specialty physicians to increase the number of patient referrals to the healthcare system.
- Meet with local physicians to promote the facility's services, helping doctors build and maintain relationships with specialists and surgeons to refer patients confidently.
- Grow physician referrals and connect the facility with the local healthcare community by discussing patient care, referrals, and new treatments with referring doctors.
- Report to the business development manager, ensuring compliance with the marketing goals and philosophies of the facility.
- Arrange and lead public relations campaigns and awareness efforts to promote the facility’s services.

**Requirements**:

- An associate's or bachelor's degree in sales, marketing, healthcare administration, or a related field.
- Experience in healthcare
- General medical knowledge, especially related to the facility's services, treatment offerings, and equipment.
- A willingness to travel as required.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, public speaking, and organizational skills.
- Good report writing skills and the ability to document and track patient and referral information accurately.
