- Enterprise Business Systems Analysts are experts at:
- Identifying business requirements that deliver value to customers, taking into consideration project budget, scalability, business continuity, standard practices, licensing, county policies, cross-department regulations, and potential impacts to countywide infrastructure.
- Implementing industry standard methodologies and internal procedures in the planning, execution and service delivery of project deliverables utilizing project and service management best practices that take into consideration multi department requirements, security, and data recovery.
- Developing specialized solutions that enhance data sharing across departments, promoting collaborative infrastructure and providing geographic context for countywide strategic initiatives and decision-making.

**Pre-Employment Process**:Applicants must pass a background investigation, which includes fingerprinting, work history & education check, as well as a job-related physical exam and drug screening.
- **Availability**:Incumbents may occasionally work evening and weekend hours. Some overtime, on-call, or call back work may be required.**Minimum Requirements**:
**REQUIRED EXPERIENCE**: Four (4) years of full-time equivalent experience in a production environment performing business systems analysis, within the past five (5) years. Must include experience in at least four (4) of the following areas: requirements gathering, end user acceptance testing, process mapping, workflow diagramming, documenting business rules, writing specifications, developing procedures to improve systems, feasibility studies, and cost/benefit analysis.
- Typical qualifying experience may include performing duties equivalent to the _San Bernardino County Business Systems Analyst III._

**REQUIRED EDUCATION**:Sixty (60) semester (90 quarter) units of completed college-level courses in programming, computer science, software engineering, or a related field.
- Education Substitution:_ _One (1) additional year of qualifying work experience may substitute for the education requirement.
**Desired Qualifications**:
- A Bachelor’s degree in information technology, business administration, or a closely related field.
- Experience managing IT projects in a project leadership role.
