Job Title: Pantry & Volunteer Ministry Coordinator

Job Summary:
**Contributes to the essential mission of offering hospitality to the 200+** families walking through the doors of Jehovah Jireh Ministries of West Michigan. At JJM, we are the hands of Christ providing the immediate need of food to our clients in Ottawa County. We are looking for a hospitable, upbeat, and responsible person who is seeking meaningful work and desires making a tangible difference in the lives of others. The Pantry Ministry Coordinator is a part time, hourly employee, who will oversee client and volunteer relations, as well as organize the pantry during distribution hours. They will directly work with our clients, as they provide intake, assessment, and referral to supportive services. They will also work with our amazing team of volunteers, to support the ministry, so we can show authentic Christian hospitality to all that come to JJM.

General Responsibilities:

- Oversee the intake process meeting with our new clients.
- Run and organize the JJM pantry during distribution hours.
- Be a positive, calm, and uplifting influence in the lives of those who come to us in need.
- Work with our clients to connect them with additional resources in the community.
- Become familiar with local resources that may be of help to our recipients.
- Ensures optimal workflow in the pantry.
- Scheduling adequate volunteer help.
- Oversee volunteers, making sure that they are happy, engaged, and fulfilled.
- Assist volunteers with projects and tasks as needed.
- Ensures adequate supplies are available for pantry needs.
- Willingness to do some physical work and ability to lift 40 lbs.
- Monitors adherence to rules, regulations, and procedures.
- Assists Executive Director with social media communications.
- Reports helpful information to the Executive Director in a timely manner.
- Handling logistics for inbound and outbound food.
- Reports on and helps with inventory, sorting, and stocking effectiveness.
- Ensures distributions are efficient and meet recipient’s needs.
- Manages kitchen and volunteer food handling safety.

**Qualifications and Educational/Experience Requirements**
- Proficiencey in verbal and written communication in English and Spanish.
- Food safe certification(s) will be required to be completed after hire.
- Organizational abilities including planning, delegating, and task facilitation.
- Knowledge of Google Workspace.
- Demonstrated ability to warmly communicate with both written and verbal skills.
- Social Media proficiency is preferred.
- Transparent and high integrity leadership.
- Agree with Statement of Faith and mission & vision statements.

**Job Type**: Part-time

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 - 30 per week
