The Contractors State License Board is currently recruiting for a Supervising Special Investigator I (Non-Peace Officer) within the Enforcement Division.

This position is located in the Orange County Investigative Center in **Norwalk**, California.

Under the direction of the Supervising Special Investigator II (SSI II), Contractors State License Board, the incumbent supervises a staff of field investigators and office support staff in the Investigative Center (I/C) (South)/Orange County/Norwalk. The I/C staff is responsible for investigating and processing consumer complaints filed against licensed and unlicensed contractors.

- The position(s) require(s) Medical Clearance prior to being hired.
- The incumbent shall participate in DMV Employer Pull Notice Program (EPN), which is a process for providing the Department with a report showing the driver’s current public record as recorded by the DMV, and any subsequent convictions, failures to appear, accidents, driver’s license suspensions, driver’s license revocations, or any other actions taken against the driving privilege or license, added to the driver’s DMV record.
- Incumbent in this position will be required to submit fingerprints to the Department of Justice for criminal history background clearance and be cleared before hiring.
