Praise Band Leader

**Ministry Purpose**:The Praise Band Director will work with the Pastor and other music ministry team members to create meaningful worship experiences so congregation members can worship God and experience God’s presence.

**Responsibilities**:
1. Provide leadership in contemporary worship music during the worship services of the church by directing the praise band and leading congregational singing during Sunday morning services and other special services.
- Choose music for weekly service that supports the message and theme of service when possible
- Communicate choice of music to different teams (currently through Google docs) and send worship service lyrics to AV/Secretary
- Organize and lead practice in preparation for worship services
- Arrange and tab sheet music to accommodate skill set of musicians utilizing our CCLI Song Select resources
- Work with choir director, organist, music intern and pastors to assist, coordinate and offer ideas for other musical or creative parts of worship service
- Recruit new musicians
- Coordinating youth participation in band
- Participate in other special services as needed
- Work with Children’s Ministry Director to coordinate and provide music for special family services and events
- Coordinate substitute leadership when unavailable to lead
- Work with finance team and Pastors on worship budget
- Optional but encouraged - participating in activities outside of weekly service, such as internal and community concerts.

2. Assist in coordinating vocal leadership for the hymn portion of worship

3. Attend Staff meetings that are scheduled as called by the Senior Pastor

**Performance Review**

Performance reviews will be given annually. These reviews will be conducted by the Senior Pastor in coordination with the SRC.

**Vacation & Sick Time**

4 weeks (Sundays) paid & 4 weeks (Sundays) unpaid (optional)

**Job Type**: Part-time

Pay: $7,300.00 - $7,500.00 per year

Expected hours: 10 per week
