Description:
**JOB SUMMARY**:
The painter will spray surfaces of manufactured products with protective material such as enamel or epoxy. Needs to excel in multi-tasking and the ability to follow instructions and pivot projects based on priorities.

**ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Applies finish to furniture or other items using spray equipment and other manual/mechanical methods.
- Selects and mixes coating paints to desired color and prepare spraying equipment such as cleaning or adjusting spray guns
- Take directions from area lead and follow that direction
- Reads and understands technical documents such as paint mixing procedures
- Maintains all equipment in good working condition (i.e. sprayer equipment)
- Meets company productivity rates, and learns all aspects of job as required
- Cleans spraying equipment with solvent or other recommended cleaning solutions daily or as required by manufacturer
- Maintains the paint mix room while following the company safety policies
- May operate the blaster to clean steel according to specific safety requirements
- Wear a respirator according to safety guidelines and maintain respirator in good condition

**Requirements**:
**EDUCATION**

High school diploma or GED or equivalent work experience

**SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE**

Must have knowledge of polishes, adhesives, solvents, and colors.

Able to properly use hand tools and various power tools.

Must be able to distress surfaces with woodworking tools.

Needs to be a self-starter when not working under direct supervision.

Must have good time management and organizational skills.

Able to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment and follow directions.
