**Basic Qualifications**
- High School Diploma or GED equivalency.
- 3 years' experience in assembly operations/manufacturing.
- ** This role is restricted to U.S. persons (i.e., U.S. citizens, permanent residents, and other protected individuals under the Immigration and Naturalization Act, 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3)) due to access to export-controlled technology. GE will require proof of status prior to employment.**

**Eligibility requirements**
- Expert understanding of blueprint and process sheet interpretation.
- Ability and willingness to use basic hand tools (crimpers, soldering iron, wire strippers, brazing equipment, etc.) and measuring devices (calipers, micrometers, rulers, etc)
- Ability and willingness to operate high temperature ovens and furnaces
- Ability and willingness to pass Visual Acuity Exam as necessary.
- Ability and willingness to obtain Solder and Braze certification as required

**Essential Functions & Responsibilities**:

- Assemble parts according to process sheet/print instructions.
- Perform electrical, mechanical, magnetic testing as required (i.e. - dielectric, meggar, hipot, AC/DC, ATP, etc.)
- Perform basic set up of fixtures; Perform vapor blasting as required
- Perform inventory counts and verification
- Assist with proto-type or first time builds with guidance from higher level employees.
- Assist Engineering and/or Team in development and/or improvement of layout procedures and process sheets.
- Review expiration date of materials to ensure materials & equipment to ensure all are current.
- Proactively work to improve efficiency and quality of products; Good housekeeping skills
- Frequently interact with internal and/or external customers and support functions (i.e. - Planners, Engineering) outside of home department. May act as primary contact for auditors.
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and recommend part maintenance. Report problems to appropriate resource and/or Coach
- Assist with labor & material quoting;
- Utilize proper PPE, safety equipment, and follow safety procedures
- Other duties as required by department; Participate in and lead team initiatives.

**Desired Qualifications**:

- Assembly knowledge of multiple product lines; 3-5 years' experience in assembly operations
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Communication skills; Ability to work proactively with limited supervision

***The pay for this position is $21/hr. This position is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus based on a percentage of your base salary/ commission based on the plan. This posting is expected to close on 5/26/24.
