The Scheduling Coordinator supports the essential operations and office communications within the department.

**Responsibilities**:

- Schedules patients in person or over the phone for outpatient services.
- Collects demographic data from patients for registration.
- Prepares pre-registration chart
- Insurance verification / authorization
- Records data on logs relating to insurance response turnaround times
- Check patients in / out
- Assist patients with medical history forms
- Monitors work queues specific to the assigned tasks
- Answers telephones
- Processes all incoming / outgoing mail
- Responsible for cash collection, reconciliation and deposit
- Transcribing, scanning, uploading images
- Maintains inventory of supplies to ensure adequate PAR levels
- Submits IT tickets to report any system barriers
- Appointment confirmation calls
- Initiates follow-up on projects to ensure timely preparation and meeting deadlines
- Ensures delivery of excellent customer service resulting in positive and improving patient satisfaction scores for department and Medical Center. Directs patients in regards to their scheduled appointment.
- Assists leadership with tabulating monthly statistics for the Department.
- Other duties and/or projects as assigned.
- Adheres to HMH Organizational competencies and standards of behavior.

Qualifications:
Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:

- High School diploma, general equivalency diploma (GED), and/or GED equivalent programs.
- Previous registration, insurance verification, and receptionist experience.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient computer skills that may include but are not limited to Microsoft Office and/or Google Suite platforms.
