This position is responsible for the implementation and oversight of campus mentoring and coaching programs for historically underrepresented students and for collaboration with both internal staff/faculty and external agencies that support student success and belonging. The Director of Student Success and Belonging oversees programming and initiatives including, but not limited to, leadership and oversight for the IVYT New Student Success Course, Tutoring Center, and Supplemental Instruction. This position is responsible for building long-term engagement and promoting student success through mentoring and coaching supports, facilitating belonging through serving on related campus and statewide committees, and utilizing a case management approach to connect students with the appropriate resources both internal and external.

Major Responsibilities:
- Provide program leadership for the case management of historically underrepresented student populations, which includes mentoring and connecting them with the appropriate academic and non academic resources- Monitor student progress through regular meetings, communication, interventions, assessments, and early alerts.- Develops and manages budget, marketing, programming, and special events related to Student Success and Belonging- Coordinates student success programming, including new student orientation and the IVYT New Student Success Course, which includes recruiting, hiring, developing, and evaluating adjunct faculty members, enrollment assistance, and teaching one IvyT111 course each term.- Oversees employees in the College’s Tutoring Center and Supplemental Instruction program; including hiring, developing, and evaluating staff.- Manages data and reports related to student caseload and historically underrepresented student data for the service area and utilizes this data to provide guidance for better student support and success campus-wide.- Collaborates with campus leadership in efforts to increase enrollment, retention, and completion for historically underrepresented students and provide training and programming that promotes equity and belonging for all students.- Collaborates with Academic Affairs and Student Affairs to ensure accuracy and continuity of resources and services for college success.- Serves as an instructor for the student success course (IVYT) one course per term- Utilize all necessary technology tools and resources appropriate for position (Scholar Track, Banner, Starfish, etc.)- Actively participate in professional development opportunities and professional organizations, as well as college-wide committees, etc.

Pay Range: $55,000 - 60,000/year

Schedule: Primarily Monday-Friday daytime hours, some evenings and weekends may be required during peak enrollment periods or during special events. Participation in annual commencement ceremony is required by all full-time staff.

**Requirements**:
EDUCATION:
- Bachelor’s degree required.

EXPERIENCE:
- Minimum of three (3) years of relative and/or progressive experience in advising and/or student services, counseling and guidance, adult and higher education, or an equivalent combination of education.- Broad knowledge of learning styles, study skills, and personality assessments and the ability to develop and maintain close working relationships with both internal and external constituents.- Must demonstrate sensitivity and appreciation for the diverse backgrounds of students, faculty, and staff.- Must also be able to build relationships through building trust and exhibiting excellent interpersonal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Master’s Degree in Student Personnel, Higher Education, Counseling, Student Affairs, Psychology or related field preferred.- Higher education administration or a related area preferred.
