**DESCRIPTION**:

Autonomous nursing care is the ability of a nurse to assess and provide nursing actions as appropriate for patient care populations based on competence, professional expertise, and knowledge. The nurse is expected to practice autonomously consistent with ANA Standards of Practice and Professional Performance. Independent judgment is expected to be exercised within the context of interdisciplinary and multidisciplinary approaches to patient care.
Duties of position include but are not limited to: data entry for MBSAQIP, data entry for exemplo, tracking patients pre surgical tests, provide patient education, outreach to patients in need for follow up care, co-facilitate bariatric support groups.
**MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS**:
- Must be a graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
- RN License issued by the State of California.
- BART or BLS at time of hire with commitment to get BART w/in 6 months of hire date.
- Must have a minimum of one year of active nursing experience.
- Must have minimum 6 months have experience with bariatric pt. population/Weight Loss Program
- Must have experience leading pt. cohorts for pt. education/Ambulatory Pt. educator
- Must have experience working closing with surgeons/Providers with good interpersonal skills
- Must have experience with accredited programs and/or with Regulatory Inspections with TJC/CMS ( i.e. Center of Excellence, MBSAQIP accreditation, Stroke Program, Spine Program, Acoustic Neuroma Program, Cardiac Rehabilitation program ect.)
- Must have experience with EPIC EMR.
**PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS**:
- BSN/MSN
- General Surgery experience.
- Certified Bariatric Nurse.
- Data Extraction experience, Excel, EPIC reports.
**SPECIAL CONDITIONS**:
- Must be able to work various hours, days, shifts, on-call and various locations based on business needs.

Annual Full Pay Range: $123,902 - $173,659 (will be prorated if the appointment percentage is less than 100%)
Hourly Equivalent: $59.34 - $83.17
Factors in determining the appropriate compensation for a role include experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The Hiring Pay Scale referenced in the job posting is the budgeted salary or hourly range that the University reasonably expects to pay for this position. The Annual Full Pay Range may be broader than what the University anticipates to pay for this position, based on internal equity, budget, and collective bargaining agreements (when applicable).
