**Objective**: The HR Generalist will support the HR and EHS departments in a variety of tasks while maintaining complete confidentiality of employee records. This position reports to the HR Director.

**Qualifications**: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Occupational Safety, or equivalent experience

**Responsibilities**:

- Work under consultative or self-initiated direction to maintain programs, systems, and procedures necessary to ensure the overall safety and health of employees and the community
- Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by following safety standards and procedures
- Create and maintain employee bio library
- Schedule assessments and perform background checks for new hires
- Assist with new hire orientation
- Collaborate with leadership to streamline the hiring process and improve internal policies
- Maintain database of employee records
- Contribute to ongoing recruiting efforts as needed
- Create marketing materials and hiring ads as needed
- Oversee and coordinate the uniform program and orders
- Be an active member of the Events Committee
- Assist in event planning and coordination
- Monitor Facebook page and manage admins
- Suggest edits to company website as needed
- Edit and publish monthly newsletter
- Coordinate mailing and communication efforts for employees and members
- Serve as Secretary of the Safety Committee
- Create mapping and collect inventory information for safety programs
- Scan and file documents for uploading to outside approved vendors
- Stay current with trends, technologies and legislation related to Safety and HR
- Uphold company policies and guidelines
- Adhere to state and federal laws and regulations
- Additional projects/tasks as assigned by supervisor

Pay: $20.00 - $24.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
