Well-established Ortho Spine Surgeon's practice is looking for a Medical Assistant.
We require a detail-oriented professional with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Applicants must be able to prioritize and adapt to changing situations in a calm and professional manner.
Back office responsibilities include room set up, rooming patients, taking vitals, assisting with procedures, recording patient's medical history, communicating with clients and obtaining authorizations.
Front office responsibilities include the greeting patients, checking patients in and out, answering phones, scheduling appointments, taking messages, updating patient demographics, verifying insurance and taking co-pays, assisting with coordinating office events and activities.
Education should include a Medical Assistant training program degree and a minimum of 1-2 years of hands-on medical assisting experience in an internal medicine or family practice.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required.
Must be computer literate.
Experience with EMR (EPIC) is a plus.
This is a great opportunity to work in a fast paced environment
Pay: $22.00 - $25.00 per hour
