**Responsibilities**
- Verify patient insurance coverage and eligibility through various methods, including online portals and phone calls
- Submit prior authorization requests to insurance companies through various channels (phone, fax, online portals)
- Communicate with healthcare providers to gather required clinical information for authorization submissions
- Obtain necessary authorizations and referrals for medical services
- Communicate with insurance companies to resolve any coverage issues or discrepancies
- Maintain accurate records of all prior authorization activities and outcomes
- Collaborate with medical billing team to ensure accurate and timely submission of claims
- Maintain confidentiality of patient information in accordance with HIPAA regulations
- Assist patients with insurance-related inquiries and provide guidance on coverage and benefit

**Experience**:

- Minimum of 2 years of experience in insurance verification or related field
- Knowledge of medical terminology, ICD-9 coding, and medical records management
- Familiarity with Medical/dental office operations is a plus
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and documentation
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to multitask and prioritize workload in a fast-paced environment
- Proficient computer skills, including experience with electronic health record systems

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 - 35 per week
