As VP of Corporate Finance, you will play a crucial role in shaping DeepL’s financial strategy and driving investor engagement. Reporting directly to the CFO, you will lead key initiatives related to corporate finance, strategic finance, corporate development, and - dependent on your prior experience - investor relations. **Your responsibilities**
- Develop and execute financial strategies to support business growth through investment, new business, and expansion initiatives.
- Optimise capital structure and manage capital allocation to maximise shareholder value
- Identify, evaluate and present potential M&A opportunities aligned with our strategic objectives
- Set up comprehensive due diligence, financial analysis, and valuation assessments for either fundraising, capital markets, or M&A activity.
- Build and maintain relationships with institutional investors, sell-side analysts, investment banks, and other key stakeholders
- Develop and implement financial planning and investor communication strategies, including earnings releases, investor presentations, and roadshows
- Monitor market trends, analyst reports, and shareholder feedback to inform strategic decision-making and messaging

**Qualities we look for**
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, or a related field. MBA or CFA preferred
- 4-6 years of experience in investment banking or equity research at a top-tier financial institution, with a track record of progressing to the VP level
