Overview:
**"This Patient Access position is within the Radiation Oncology office located at SFMC Main Campus in Peoria, Illinois. There are two other satellite Radiation Oncology offices located in Pekin and on Route91 in Peoria, Illinois**
**Expected pay for this position is $18.43 - $21.69/hour. Actual pay will be determined by experience, skills and internal equity.**

The Patient Access Associate ensures each registered patient has a complete and accurate OSF medical record, which includes patient demographics, insurance coverage, responsible guarantor and registration precision in a manner which they understand what services they are receiving, their financial responsibilities for the services provided, and expectations of them while at the facility. Excellent patient service skills are expected to create an exceptional first impression of OSF’s services to the patients, families, and other external patients over the phone or in person. A high degree of deductive reasoning and logic skills are necessary in order to solve issues that can arise in a complex, multi-payer situation.
Qualifications:
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: High school diploma or GED
Experience: One year in an office clerical setting or customer service environment.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience: Three years in an office clerical setting or customer service environment. Direct experience in a revenue cycle or medical setting.
Other skills/knowledge: Advanced knowledge of CPT4, ICD9/10, HCPCS, and modifiers. Knowledge of medical terminology.
