**About Your Work**

Join our Health & Innovation Team as a coder**,** where you'll contribute to improving health value for our members. Your role will involve providing expertise to various projects from a coding perspective.

As a coder, you'll work closely with our Chief Medical Officer, Claims and Utilization Review teams, among others. Your responsibilities will include accurate coding and abstraction of patient encounters and claim data, while adhering to government and insurance regulations. We seek individuals with a strong commitment to patient-centered care and a passion for promoting health and wellness.

**You will focus on**
- Analyzing medical records to ensure appropriate coding
- Claims denial management
- Participate in various projects including those related to quality and risk adjustment activities
- Supporting our Fraud, Waste and Abuse investigation and Revenue Cycle teams as needed
- Staying updated on coding and billing regulations, including changes to Medicare, Medicaid and commercial payer policies

**The Skills, Experience & Education You Bring**
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify patterns and trends
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work across departments.
- Knowledge of Current Procedural Terminology (CPT), Healthcare Common Procedure Coding System (HCPCS) and International Classification of Diseases Tenth Revision Clinical Modification (ICD-10 CM).
- Proficiency in using EHR and coding software.
- Certified Professional Coder certification

Physical Requirements:
Office Environment - roles involving part to full time schedule in Office Environment. Based in our physical offices and work from home office/deskwork - Activity level: Sedentary, frequency most of workday.
