**RANGE POSITION DESCRIPTION - ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/DUTIES**

Job duties of an Operations/Test Analyst includes but are not limited to working under general technical guidance, specializing in voice communications switching, video, telemetry, situational awareness, data transport, and support systems within a real-time mission support environment. Perform network system administration tasks on work center systems such as communications distribution, data acquisition and distribution, range data transmission systems and associated ancillary equipment systems IAW standard industry practices, manufacturer data, applicable DoD policies, and local directives.

The Operations/Test Analyst will lead work center personnel in the performance of Preventative Maintenance Inspection (PMI) activities on applicable networking equipment and will develop and maintain network PMI procedures as required.

The Operations/Test Analyst will implement and adhere to all Informational Assurance requirements. The Operations/Test Analyst will interface directly with customers as needed and must be able to resolve simple to complex problems in a high-pressure real-time mission environment.

The Operations/Test Analyst must possess expert knowledge of networking and data link protocols such as IP, Ethernet, Frame-Relay, SONET, and T1.

The Operations/Test Analyst must be willing to work nonstandard hours which includes nights, weekends, and overtime. The overtime may be short or no notice. The Operations/Test Analyst must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance up to Top Secret with Special Access. The Operations/Test Analyst must be able to work independently or as a member of a team and have strong verbal and written communications skills and must be able to qualify and maintain government flightline privileges.

**REQUIREMENTS - EDUCATION, TECHNICAL, AND WORK EXPERIENCE**

The incumbent must possess a valid, state issued driver's license. The Operations/Test Analyst must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance up to top secret with special access. Must be a U.S. citizen.

**SALARY**

The expected salary range for this position is $78,936 to $95,680 annually.

**WORKING CONDITIONS**

Work is performed in a typical office environment with no unusual hazards. There is occasional lifting up to 20 pounds, constant sitting while using the computer terminal, constant use of sight abilities while reviewing documents, constant use of speech/hearing abilities for communication, and constant mental alertness. The incumbent must possess planning/organizing skills and must be able to work under deadlines.
