**Responsibilities**:
- Responsible for initial planning of a project including scheduling of time, creating material stock lists, analyzing changes, and solving problems
- Learn how to design various dry and wet fire protection systems following required codes
- Assist with field surveys of existing buildings and systems
- Learn and use design software for 2-D & 3-D drawings
- Assist with system calculations
- Work with key customers and our design/build team to prepare conceptual drawings and estimates
- Produce shop drawings and as-built drawings
- Assist with system and equipment selection
- Assemble system specifications and O&M Manuals
- Communicate with field personnel to ensure information flow
**Specific Requirements**:
- AutoCAD experience preferred
- Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery (copier/printer, etc.)
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% or more of the time
- Open cube office work environment, noise level - quiet to moderate
**Qualifications/Skills**:
- Good planning and problem-solving skills
- Good math skills
- Able to understand big picture issues
- Good communication, written, verbal, interpersonal, and analytical skills
- Professional and detail oriented. File organization skills.
- Good with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
- Reliable with ability to complete tasks within deadlines and communicate results back to the team
- Possess a progressive, positive attitude
- Ability to work as part of a team to achieve the Company’s overall goals
