- As part of this role, you will be responsible for strategizing, coordinating, and executing a range of structured recreational activities tailored to meet the specific needs of our clients. By carefully evaluating and understanding the requirements of our consumers, you will be able to design activities that not only pique their interest but also encourage them to take initiative, enhance their independent living skills, and promote an overall sense of well-being among our clientele.

- **Work Schedule and Additional Information**:
- Full-time employment, 37.5 hours per week
- The Department of Human Services provides excellent benefits, pay increases, paid leave and holidays, as well as opportunities for career advancement.

- Work hours are 12:30 PM to 8:30 PM, Tuesday - Saturday, with 30-minute lunch.

**REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY**:
**QUALIFICATIONS**
**Minimum Experience and Training Requirements**:
- A bachelor’s degree with major coursework in therapeutic recreation; physical education; vocational rehabilitation; vocational education or counseling; art, music, dance, or occupational therapies; or a related human services field; **or**:
- Four years of experience providing therapeutic activities for individuals with physical, medical, or cognitive disabilities; **or**:
- An equivalent combination of experience and training.
**Other Requirements**:

- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
**Legal Requirements**:
- A conditional offer of employment will require a medical examination.
- This position falls under the provisions of the Older Adult Protective Services Act.
- Under the Act, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports, including but not limited to, PA State Police and FBI clearance.
