**School-age Child Care afterschool and summer**
Rate of pay: $16/hour

We have an opening for an Activity Leader at our Hartford Park clubhouse, located at 50 Laurel Hill Avenue in Providence. Activity Leaders carry out fun, age-appropriate activities for ages 5-12 in sports & games, homework help, arts & crafts, outdoor play, recreation, and more. Hours during the school year are Monday through Friday from 2:30 to 6:30 PM. Additional hours may be available in the summer when program hours expand. Must be available through August 23.

**Minimum Qualifications**:

- Age 18 or older (required)
- High school diploma or GED (required).
- Minimum of one year equivalent of college credits earned (preferred).
- At least one year of youth-related work experience in a group setting (required), in an urban, diverse setting (preferred).
- Demonstrated experience in leading activities for school-age children (required).
- Bilingual skills (English/Spanish) preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate positively with youth of ages 5-12.
- Ability to follow child safety and behavior management policies and procedures of organization.
- Ability to successfully pass all background checks, including but not limited to: national, state, and local background checks (fingerprint-based); state Child Abuse Registry clearances; continuous criminal records monitoring during course of employment; education and employment verifications; reference checks; pre-employment drug screen (for illegal drugs).
- Current First Aid & CPR certification (can be earned during employment if not current).

**Job Type**: Part-time for school-year and summer.
