**General Summary**:
The Assistant Branch Manager serves the needs of customers in a professional manner. They assume all operational responsibilities of the branch.

**Essential Duties and Job Responsibilities**:

- Assists and maintains administrative and Supervisory control of the office.
- Monitors staff development by cross training, career path program, evaluations, counseling, Business Banker Program, etc.
- Conduct the interviewing process for available positions.
- Assist manager with business calls and help meet and maintain budget goals.
- Conduct various monthly meetings including but not limited to operational, security, staff and etc.
- Will need to function as a Business Banker, as needed.
- Assists all branch personnel with daily duties as needed.
- Motivates, coordinates and monitors employees Customer Relationship Building.
- Perform additional duties assigned by management.
- Takes a leadership role in selling bank products and coaches the staff to ensure maximum cross selling opportunities.
- Be attentive to the bank building and equipment.
- Make sure the branch has adequate internal control to ensure the bank receives a satisfactory audit.
- Performs as a mortgage loan originator and ensures submittal of complete mortgage package.
- Perform daily, weekly & monthly audit of operations. To include: Branch logs, negotiable items & consigned items.

**OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES**

**EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION, EXPERIENCE**:
**Education**:
Required: High School Diploma

Preferred: College Degree or attending college.

**Experience**:
Required: 3 Years Banking Experience and 1 Year Supervisor Experience

Preferred: 5 Years Banking Experience and 3 Year Supervisor Experience

**KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES**:

- This position supervises all branch personnel.
- This position has a high level of confidentiality. This position has access to customer's financial information, Employee payroll, personnel file, accounts, security procedures and closing procedures.
- This position requires initiative, good judgment skills to determine customer, staff and branch needs. Knowledge of banks policies and procedures is required. Spontaneous decision making skills are essential for this position.
- An error in judgment in this position could result in a loss of goodwill and monetary loss to the bank and a possible legal situation.
- Required: This position requires someone with strong Communication and Leadership skills. They need the ability to maintain a positive attitude, handle difficult situations and have an open mind. Needs to be able to handle change, stress, and pressure. Needs to coach, cross train and motivate employees. Needs the ability to deal with customers and employees in a professional manner. Needs the ability to multitask; make fast and accurate decisions and to be organized.
- This position has a high level of contact with the public and departments. This position also interacts with a large number of internal and external contacts.

**WORK ENVIRONMENT**:

- Working Conditions**:Position is performed in a branch setting with some external business conduct.
