**Overview**:
The Equipment Operator is tasked with managing a variety of heavy equipment, ensuring operational efficiency and safety. This role involves handling machinery such as trucks, front-end loaders, dozers, graders, compactors, trenchers, backhoes, and more. You will not only operate these machines but also maintain, clean, and securely store them according to our stringent policies and procedures.
- Operate heavy equipment in a manner that ensures safety and mitigates risks to personnel, property, and equipment.
- Efficiently load, transport, and distribute materials such as dirt and rocks. Coordinate with other crew members to ensure synchronized machine actions, responding to visual and auditory signals as necessary.
- Conduct daily safety inspections and maintenance checks.
- Clean machinery as per the maintenance schedule.
- Report any necessary repairs or maintenance needs to the Construction Manager.
- Participate in routine equipment maintenance.
- Adhere to workplace safety standards consistently.
- Manage equipment inventory effectively.

**Qualifications**:

- At least 3 years of experience in operating and maintaining heavy equipment.
- Experience working near direct automotive traffic and natural bodies of water.
- Willingness to work extended hours, including overtime and weekends when necessary.

**Language**:
Basic bilingual English & Spanish skills are required.

**Working Conditions**:
Work is predominately outdoors, exposed to varying temperatures, weather conditions, and

noise levels; exposure to dust, pesticides, herbicides, grease, oils, dust, fumes, and electrical

Currents

**Education level and licenses**:
No education is required.

A current California Driver’s license with a clean driving record is required to drive a company

vehicle, and is a required qualification for this position.
