**RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES**:
Communication: Responds to inquiries from students, parents, staff, and the public regarding Cal-SOAP services and procedures. Communicates with external agencies and maintains a designated second language proficiency (English/Spanish preferred) as required.

Program Coordination: Oversees Governing Board meetings, including agendas, notes, room scheduling, and training new board members. Manages Cash for College student workshops, financial aid presentations, registration, and data collection.

Recordkeeping: Archives program documents, maintains various program-related records and logs, and ensures their accessibility for audits.

Inventory Management: Monitors office supply levels, orders supplies, and maintains inventory.

Support: Assists program staff with events, presentations, and training. Provides work direction and guidance to student workers.

Financial Management: Tracks program expenses, assists with collecting invoices and accounting for program funds, and aids in billing procedures as needed.

Administrative Support: Performs clerical duties such as typing, filing, duplicating materials, and maintaining filing systems.

Data Management: Ensures data accuracy in the Cal-SOAP database, maintains automated records, generates reports, and updates website information.

**REQUIREMENTS OF POSITION**:
An associate degree in a related field and three years of work experience in education, social service, or a related program or combination of education and experience.

Ability to read and comprehend simple to complex instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write articulated correspondence and respond efficiently. Provide clarity to questions with clear and definite language.

Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to clients and other employees of the organization. Strong articulacy and writing skills are preferred.

Ability to develop and maintain cooperative working relationships with students, faculty, administrators, counselors, and staff, and be able to work on projects both individually and as a member of a group. Knowledge and ability to use analytical, problem solving, and organizational skills with the ability to work creatively and independently. Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing. Ability to plan, organize, manage, direct, and train others in the formation, maintenance, and support of student and ancillary programs and services. Knowledge and experience working successfully and providing leadership within culturally diverse and historically underserved communities.

Ability to plan, direct, delegate, assess, and determine program functions, setting deadlines, and completing projects accordingly. Ability to work collaboratively in the development and administration of program areas. Knowledge of effective work policies, practices, and procedures. Ability to effectively establish and maintain cooperative working relationships within a diverse, multi-cultural environment of students, staff, faculty, and academic programs across the University. Ability to design support programs to meet organizational objectives. Proficiency in the use of computers, including appropriate software (e.g. Microsoft Office, PeopleSoft). Must be willing to work flexible hours in order to participate in evening and weekend meetings and programs. Valid driver's license and reliable form of transportation required. Local travel will be required with occasional travel throughout the state.

The person holding this position is considered a ‘mandated reporter’ under the California Child Abuse and Neglect Reporting Act and is required to comply with the requirements set forth in CSU Executive Order 1083 Revised July 21, 2017 as a condition of employment.

Hiring Range: $3,952 - $4,269 per month
