Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Veterinary Assistant/Receptionist to join our team. As a Veterinary Assistant/Receptionist, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional customer service and support to our clients and their beloved pets. This position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a genuine love for animals.

**Duties**:
**VETERINARY ASSISTANT**:

- Feed, bathe, and exercise animals.
- Clean and disinfect cages, kennels, and examination and operating rooms.
- Restrain animals during examination and laboratory procedures.
- Maintain and sterilize surgical instruments and equipment.
- Monitor and care for animals after surgery.

**VETERINARY RECEPTIONIST**:

- Greet clients and their pets with a warm and friendly demeanor
- Schedule appointments and manage the appointment calendar
- Collect and update client information in the database
- Assist with check-in and check-out procedures
- Process payments and maintain accurate financial records
- Coordinate with veterinary staff to ensure smooth workflow
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the reception

SKILLS:

- Knowledge of veterinary critical care procedures
- Proficiency in dog training techniques
- Familiarity with laboratory procedures and equipment
- Experience in pet sitting and animal care
- Ability to handle animal restraint when necessary
- Understanding of animal husbandry practices
- Knowledge of equine care is a plus
- Understanding of animal physiology and behavior
- Familiarity with aseptic technique in a medical setting

Pay: $13.10 - $13.69 per hour

Expected hours: 30 - 40 per week
