Duties: - Schedule and coordinate surgical procedures, including pre-operative appointments, surgery dates, and post-operative follow-ups - Collaborate with healthcare providers, patients, and insurance companies to obtain necessary authorizations and ensure accurate billing - Maintain patient records and update electronic medical records (EMR) system with relevant information - Provide exceptional customer service to patients, addressing inquiries, and resolving any issues or concerns - Educate patients on pre-operative instructions, including dietary restrictions, medication guidelines, and necessary preparations - Coordinate with the surgical team to ensure all necessary equipment and supplies are available for each procedure - Assist with insurance verification and claims processing, ensuring accurate documentation and timely submission - Adhere to HIPAA regulations and maintain patient confidentiality at all times Experience: - Previous experience in a front desk or administrative role within a medical office setting is preferred - Familiarity with medical terminology and procedures is highly desirable - Knowledge of dental office operations is a plus - Proficiency in using phone systems and scheduling software (e.g., Dentrix) - Strong attention to detail and organizational skills - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills - Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively We offer competitive compensation based on experience.
