**Summary**
Reporting to the Director/Shift Manager/Charge Nurse, the Unit Coordinator supports the unit by coordinating communications, providing customer service on the unit by greeting and assistings patients and families, performing order entry functions, maintaining files, ordering supplies,providing clerical support to also include but not limited to duties within the electronic health record (EHR) and printed medical record.
**Qualifications**
Minimum Education: High school diploma preferred
Minimum Experience/Skills: One year experience as a Unit Secretary / Clerk or current enrollment in nursing school. Knowledge of Medical Terminology, ability to read, write, speak and understand the English language to communicate with all customers. Must possess strong communication skills, including verbal and written, as well as be able to effectively multi-task. Basic computer knowledge such as Word Processing and Excel spreadsheets.
License/Certificates/Credentials: Healthcare Provider BLS certification required
Physical Demands: Prolonged, extensive or considerable standing/walking. Lift/position up to 50 lbs. Push/pull up to 50 lbs of force. Transfer patients, frequent reaching, stooping, bending, kneeling, crouching, manual dexterity and mobility, touch, auditory and visual perception and acuity, adequate vocal pitch and volume, ability to move quickly.
Vision Requirements: Ability to adjust vision sufficiently to perform position accountabilities.
**Pay range**:$20.15 - $21.85 hourly
**Individual wages are determined based upon a number of factors including, but not limited to, an individual’s qualifications and experience
