Purpose
The Export Clerk will be responsible for coordinating and facilitating the shipment of goods, ensuring compliance with customs regulations and documentation requirements.

Areas of Responsibility / Tasks
Performance must reflect appropriate level of expertise and achievement of the desired results for the items listed below.

1. Documentation
a. Prepare and process export documentation, including invoices, packing slips, certificates of origin and any other required documentation.
2. Customs Compliance
a. Ensure compliance with export regulations and requirements of destination countries. Familiarity with trade regulations, tariffs, and customs procedures is preferred.
3. Shipping Coordination
a. Coordinate the logistics of international shipments, including, arranging for transportation, and tracking shipments to ensure timely delivery.
4. Communication
a. Coordinate with freight forwarders, shipping companies, customs agents, and other relevant parties to facilitate smooth export operations.
5. Customer Service
a. Provide support and assistance to customers regarding export-related inquiries, shipping schedules, and documentation requirements.
6. Record-Keeping
a. Maintain accurate records of export transactions, shipping documents, and correspondence.
7. Problem-Solving
a. Identify and resolve issues or discrepancies related to export documentation, customs clearance, and shipping procedures.
8. All other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications/ Education / Experience / Certifications

**1. Education**:
a. High School diploma or equivalent required

**2. Experience**:
a. 2-5 years of customer service experience preferred but not required

**3. Licenses / Certifications**:
a. Valid driver’s license - required

**4. Language**:
a. Proficiency in English required
b. Bi-Lingual - Spanish is a plus
