**Description**

**SUMMARY**:

- The Repair Specialist will oversee all repair orders; ensure timely turnaround, identify opportunities to reduce operating costs, as well as adherence to all AAR policies and procedures.
- Will be responsible for reviewing and approving vendor quotes, and support in the management of contractual obligations for inventory programs.
- The Repairs Specialist will assist in updating the customer, AAR Product Line, and AAR PMO of critical changes in prices and/or delivery dates.

**ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Manages the creation, tracking and expediting of repair orders.
- Review and approve vendor quotes. Responsible for new vendor approval process.
- Update the customer, AAR Product Line, and AAR PMO of critical changes in prices or delivery rates.
- Independently allocate sales orders to repair orders.
- Primary contact internally and externally for program metrics.
- Support the start-up of new programs.
- Monitor, track and report internal and external measurements relating to the operation of the inventory programs.
- Disseminate information from our customers to improve planning.
- Assist in the management of contractual obligations for Inventory Programs.
- Independently identify opportunities to reduce operating costs.
- Initiates and oversees drop shipments process.
- Training others on inventory program processes and measurements.
- Identify opportunities to enhance inventory programs internal processes resulting in increased operational efficiency.
- Document and communicate process and procedures related to the performance metrics.
- All other duties as assigned.

**EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE**:

- Bachelor of Arts degree (B.A.) or Bachelor of Science degree (B.S.) from four-year college or university; or four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Emphasis in Logistic and Supply Chain Management or Business Administration preferred.
- Aviation experience preferred.
- PC literate (Excel, Word, Power Point, Access)
