DIRECTOR OF PROGRAMS JOB DESCRIPTON
**BASIC RESPONSIBILITY**:
Responsible for the management and oversight of the identified Arc Program. Provides vocational and case management assistance to adults with developmental disabilities. Collaborates with other agency representatives in assessment and case management plans in accordance with policies, procedures, and guidelines. Plans, coordinates, and conducts the functions of staff trainings, staff meetings, monthly billing, participant files and meetings. Attends The Arc Leadership meetings and is an active participant in shaping the future of The Arc. Reports directly to the CEO.

**SPECIFIC DUTIES**:

- Reviews schedules and confers with staff to assure objectives and outcomes are met for program participants.
- Collaborates with Regional Center, Rehabilitation Counselors, School Transition Specialists, and others as assigned to assist in the planning and accomplishment of individualized objectives.
- Works to enroll participants into The Arc’s programs, including arranging tours for potential participants for Arc’s services, managing and reviewing documentation from Regional Centers. Coordinating start dates for new participants to The Arc
- Conducts annual meetings with participants and families and assures that participant files are complete, including reviewing all chart documentation for thoroughness and compliance with agency standards. Other duties as assigned.
- Collaborates with program staff to develop a development plan. Along with program staff, monitors performance and develops adaptations for participants’ functional limitations.
- Prepares weekly and monthly reports, monthly billing and ensures quality reports are done on time.
- Functions in a public relations capacity to educate staff and the community regarding all of The Arc’s programs.
- Other Duties as Assigned

**QUALIFICATIONS**:
General:

- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Must pass a criminal background check.
- Must have a current California Driver’s License with a good driving record
- Can lift a minimum of 45lbs.
- Strong communication, teambuilding and leadership skills

- Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.

- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate.

**Education**:

- Minimum BA/BS degree from accredited college or university.
- Have and maintain current Red Cross First Aid Certificate and CPR Certificate.
- Fluent in speaking, reading, and writing both English and Spanish, preferred.

**Experience**:

- A minimum of seven (7) years of full-time paid employment in regular industry, including at least one year of work experience in the type of operation to be supervised. Minimum of three years strong office administrative support, minimum six months in a social service agency.
- Up to three years of any combination of relevant military service, education or business experience beyond the minimum requirements may be substituted for either the education or experience requirements.

**SCHEDULE AND COMPENSATION**:

- Monday - Friday 8:00am - 4:30pm. Some weekends or evening as needed for special events/community events
- 403B available with employer 4% provided after employee puts in 6%

Pay: $24.00 - $29.50 per hour
