The Medical Assistant is responsible for clinical and clerical tasks around the office. They are responsible for providing high-quality customer service to all patients consistent with the mission, values, and operating principles of the hospital. **Hours**:8:30pm-5:00pm
**Duties and Responsibilities**:
- Drawing blood, injections
- Cleaning and sanitizing rooms
- Prepping rooms/assisting with procedures and stocking supplies
- Rooming patients
- Taking down the patient’s chief complaint
- Basic vital signs: height, weight, temperature, blood pressure, sugar levels
- Some administration work: answering phones, scheduling appointments, insurance verifications, referrals, prior authorizations
**Requirements**:
- Medical Assistant certification is required
- High School Diploma or GED required
- 0-10 years experience
- EMR experience is preferred
**Qualifications**:
- Completion of a certification program as a Medical Assistant
- 0 - 5 years of experience
- Demonstrated ability in performance of office-based procedures preferred
- Experience working in an ambulatory clinical setting with high procedure volume, preferred
- Experience in EPIC preferred
Pay: $19.00 - $24.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
