We have an URGENT NEED for a Bilingual (English/Spanish) **Medical Records Clerk **for Home Health.
**Key Duties and Responsibilities**:
- **Record Management**: Ensuring the maintenance and updates of patient records, with accuracy, completeness, and compliance with relevant regulations.
- **Data Entry**: Accurately and efficiently enter patient information into the agency's electronic health records (EHR) systems.
- Scan paperwork (labs, physician orders, etc) into electronic chart and label documents appropriately
- **Doctor's Orders Management**: Organize and monitor doctor's orders within patient records, ensuring their timely implementation and proper documentation.
- Print and mail/deliver orders to physicians on the “do not fax” list
- Fax labs and patient information to physicians as needed
- **Confidentiality**: Handle sensitive patient information with the utmost confidentiality, strictly adhering to HIPAA regulations.
- **Auditing**: Conduct regular audits of patient records to uphold quality standards and compliance with regulations.
- **Filing and Retrieval**: Organize both physical and electronic records for easy retrieval when necessary.
- **Quality Assurance**: Contribute to the maintenance of medical records' quality through regular reviews and updates
**Qualifications**:
- Bilingual Spanish-English
- High school graduate or the equivalent, additional certification in medical records management is a plus.
- Must have experience working in a medical office setting.
- Experience in Home Health a plus.
- Working knowledge of medical terminology preferred.
- Knowledge of medical terminology, coding systems, and record-keeping practices.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment as part of a dedicated team.
We are Care Circle Home Health, a Joint Commission-accredited home health agency servicing various counties in SoCal. Our mission to help patients improve their quality of life in the safety of their own homes by providing patient-centered, high quality, compassionate, and cost-effective health care services.
**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $19.00 - $22.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
