Job Summary
The Human Resources Assistant is responsible for ensuring that all administrative functions of the Human Resources Team are completed in a timely manner. The Human Resources Assistant is responsible for ensuring that HR projects, processes and procedures are completed each week.

**Responsibilities**:

- Assist with the development and execution of various HR programs including but not limited to, associate development/training programs, succession planning, recognition programs and associate engagement survey
- Coordinate and execute milestone celebrations, Sendik’s New Grad program, and WGA Scholarship awards
- Perform various administrative responsibilities in support of HR programs and initiatives including but not limited too; calendar management, tracking, leader communications; survey management
- Manages project timelines, leader check ins and coordinates all project milestones with the team
- Facilitates and delivers various HR related information to leaders and associates as needed, including providing regular project updates
- Facilitate weekly New Hire Orientations
- Serve customers, associates, vendors and partners while modeling Sendik’s culture and providing “best in class” customer service
- Respond to associate inquiries and provide support and assistance to resolve questions accordingly
- Review standard operating procedures and practices; proactively seeks ways to improve upon current programs, procedures and processes
- Assist in the stores during peak holiday seasons as needed
- Complete other miscellaneous duties as assigned

**Qualifications**:

- Associates degree required, Bachelor's degree preferred
- Human Resources experience preferred
- Experience in the retail industry preferred
- Ability to interact effectively with individuals at all levels, internally and externally
- Proficient in computer programs such as Word, Excel and Google Docs
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills; strong continuous improvement mindset
- Strong sense of security and ability to handle sensitive information
- Excellent attention to detail
- Excellent time management, prioritization and organization skills
- Ability to work at a fast paced and efficient manner
- Strong sense of team - ability to anticipate the needs of the team
- Ability to lift a maximum of 50 lbs
