STV’s Maryland Transportation Division is seeking a Transportation Engineering Specialist to join the team. This position offers excellent potential for career advancement as this individual would assist staff and our other offices who have a direct impact on the improvement of our local and national infrastructure.

Responsibilities include:
- Providing professional design services for transportation improvement projects for the MDOT (SHA, MdTA, MTA and MPA), Baltimore City and other County/City agencies- Developing design plans including horizontal and vertical alignments, cross sections, typical sections, superelevation data and miscellaneous roadway detail sheets- Designing to adhere to ADA Standards and bicycle guidelines- Coordinating design development and providing technical skills to the design team- Coordinating with the design team to achieve quality deliverables within the established schedule and budget, and the development of specifications, cost estimates, reports and preparing final bid packages- Assisting with maintaining relationships with client technical staff and project managers- Attending project meetings with clients, sub-consultants, and the project team

**Required Skills**:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering- EIT or plans to take the F.E. preferred with goal of obtaining PE.- MDOT and municipal client experience is a plus- Ad desire to learn and support the design of progressive transportation systems- Proficient with MicroStation and Inroads/Corridor modeling design software- OpenRoads Designer experience is a plus- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite- Familiarity with AASHTO and local agency design standards is required.- Strong oral and written communication skills

Compensation Range:
$55,690.00 - $74,254.00
